PRODUCT OVERVIEW: 

Used in the Checkmate Contamination Detector Kit for accurate & fast measurements of acid contamination levels in both compressor oils & refrigerant gas.

Moisture levels are measured independently & are displayed in parts per million (ppm) the initial Light Brown indicating layer, stains to a Grape or Blueberry. Knowing the purity of Refrigerant is vital information for service technicians who need to assess if the refrigerant can be:

• Immediately reused
• Needs to be cleaned-up
• Contaminated beyond reclaiming capabilities
• Or failed to be properly cleaned during a reclaiming process

The Checkmate method is the industry’s only valid field test for measuring the Acid and Moisture levels (purity) of Refrigerant Gas. Predict and prevent the likelihood of compressor failure by checking the contaminant levels in the Compressor Oil of an operating system.

COMPETITIVE POINTS OF DIFFERENCE:

The Checkmate method is the industry’s only validated field test for measuring acid and moisture levels in both the compressor oil and any refrigerant gas. The Detector Tubes have been tested for accuracy by Intertek Testing Services, an ARI-approved laboratory.

APPLICATION:

Simply insert a Detector Tube into the Checkmate body and connect inline to a cylinder or on the low side of the system. Detector Tube results take less than one minute. They are hygroscopic (absorb moisture), and engine or petroleum oils are hydroscopic (repel moisture).
 

STORAGE & HANDLING:

• Moisture Detector Tubes must be stored under refrigeration - +7°C to +1°C to prevent premature expiration.
   
• Acid and Oil Detector Tubes must be stored away from heat to prevent premature expiration. Do not expose to temperature greater than 40°C.
   
• Acid and Oil Detector tubes can also be stored under refrigeration with the Moisture Detector Tubes.
